EDA’s Training Division has an established record of providing high quality training and capacity building services for microfinance and microenterprise promotion. EDA was designated regional microfinance training partner for South Asia by C-GAP in 1999. Since then, EDA has conducted over 200 training programmes for managers and staff of microfinance institutions, banks and related organisations.
Following adult learning techniques, training sessions are designed to provide structured opportunities to participants to apply and practice new approaches and techniques and internalise new attitudes.
EDA has conducted over 250 training programmes in India and other countries of Asia and Africa.
In 2010, EDA training division celebrated 10 years.
Integrating Social Performance Management into mainstream training
Based on EDA’s work in SPM, the training team has integrated key elements of SPM into its management training programmes. Building from this, EDA contributed to the set of guideline notes developed through the Imp-Act Consortium to build a social performance lens into technical training resources.
